A former flight medic, Lesley brings a calm, capable presence to her role as hygiene coordinator at Higson Dental Group. She lives in the countryside with her husband and their three energetic children, embracing the balance between family, career, and community. When she’s not keeping the office running smoothly, she volunteers with the local fire department and enjoys the quiet of rural life. Lesley’s background in emergency care and her commitment to service make her a valued member of the Higson Dental team.

A lifelong local, Darla was raised on a farm just outside of Hythe. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the University of Alberta in 2013 and has been a dedicated member of the Higson Dental Group team ever since. Known for her thorough and gentle approach, Darla enjoys helping patients achieve and maintain their healthiest smiles.
When she’s not in the clinic or busy with her daughter’s activities, Darla enjoys camping in the warmer months, hitting the slopes in winter, and unwinding with a good book year-round.

Member of the Higson Dental Group Team
Originally from Northern Ontario, Laura has called Grande Prairie home for the past 16 years. She graduated as a Dental Hygienist from Cambrian College in 2007 and has been providing exceptional care at Higson Dental Group since joining the team. Laura is passionate about promoting healthy smiles and enjoys creating comfortable and positive experiences for every patient.
Outside of the clinic, Laura enjoys watching her daughter figure skate and staying active. Whether it’s skating in the winter or camping during the summer, Laura cherishes spending quality time with her family.

Vaila, originally from Edmonton and raised in Grande Prairie, has been passionate about dentistry for over 15 years. Her career began as a dental assistant, and she furthered her education by completing her Dental Hygiene certification in 2023. A former NCAA Division 1 hockey player, Vaila played in Pennsylvania while earning her university degree. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys outdoor adventures with her son, husband, and three dogs, often going side-by-siding or taking walks in nature.

Member of the Higson Dental Group Team
Originally from just outside Vancouver, BC, Sara has called Grande Prairie home since 2010. She began her dental career as a dental assistant, working in the field for seven years before earning her diploma in dental hygiene in 2010. Sara joined the team at Higson Dental Group in 2013 and has been a dedicated member ever since.
Outside of work, Sara enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and pets. She loves to be outdoors and can often be found camping or traveling to new destinations.
