Insurance—No Payment up Front

Let your insurance pick-up the bill! Higson Dental is proud to accept assignment of insurance benefits, which means that we take your insurance as payment at the time of your treatment. Many other dental offices are non-assignment and their patients have to pay up front then wait weeks to be reimbursed by their insurance company. Our team feels strongly about providing this service to our patients. We understand that while dental health is vital to your wellbeing, it’s not inexpensive. Having to pay up front for regular preventative dental check-ups can be extremely cost prohibitive and many families can’t afford the short-term cash outlay.

Working With Your Insurance Company

To make your appointment as seamless as possible, we do our best to deal directly with your insurance company. There are, however, changes to the federal and provincial privacy legislation that empowers the insurance company to not communicate with a third party, like a dental office. If your insurance company will not deal with us directly, we will assist you to ensure you receive the maximum reimbursement for covered procedures. Patient Billing

From walk-in to follow-up we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional customer service. You will receive the finest dental care in the region at a reasonable cost. We accept any of these convenient financial options: cash, cheque, Visa, MasterCard and Interac (debit). Payment is due the same day as treatment unless prior arrangements have been made. If paying a lump sum is an issue we offer monthly payment plans, but this must be approved prior to your procedure.

Please remember all charges made by Higson Dental are your responsibility and separate from insurance coverage.

Most insurance companies will reimburse within four-to-six weeks, and any remaining balance is your responsibility. We appreciate your prompt payment!
