Alycia has been a Registered Dental Assistant for over seven years and joined Higson Dental Group early in her career. She graduated from KDM Dental College at the age of 19 and immediately stepped into the dental field with confidence and passion. Influenced by her mother—a surgical dental assistant—Alycia grew up familiar with the clinical setting and inspired by the hands-on care and precision of oral surgery.

From her very first year in the profession, Alycia felt at home at Higson Dental Group. She credits much of her professional growth to the mentorship of Dr. Higson, Dr. Schamehorn, and the dedicated team around her. As she continues her journey alongside Dr. Maron in orthodontics, Alycia looks forward to expanding her skill set and contributing to specialized care within the clinic.

When she’s not at work, Alycia enjoys relaxing with her boyfriend and two cats, catching up on classic 2000s TV shows, or going for drives in her Audi. She also loves traveling—whether it’s a planned getaway or a spontaneous adventure.

Originally from Peace River, Myra moved to Grande Prairie in 2020 and earned her Office Administration Certificate from Grande Prairie Regional College. She joined the team at Higson Dental Group in 2021 and has since become a familiar and friendly face to many of our patients. Myra enjoys the welcoming atmosphere at the clinic and takes pride in helping ensure every patient feels at ease.

In addition to her role at Higson Dental, Myra also works part-time at Ramona’s Pizza. When she’s not working, she enjoys skiing during the winter months, camping and hiking in the summer, and spending quality time with her chihuahua, Sky.

Delaney was raised in Grimshaw and has called Grande Prairie home for nearly five years. She began her career in healthcare during the pandemic, working in a Long Term Care facility while simultaneously pursuing her Office Administration Certificate. Upon completing her studies, she joined the team at Higson Dental Group, where she enjoys connecting with patients and being part of a supportive and dedicated team.

Work and family have always been a passion for Dr. Higson. When he is not at the Higson Dental Group office, he regularly attends educational lectures, spends time with his family, and explores what life is like without the kids at home. Some of his other favorite pastimes include fishing, quadding, investing, and business ventures outside of dentistry.

A native of Manning, Alberta, Dr. Schamehorn, or Dr. Clint as he’s sometimes known, attended Grande Prairie Regional College for two years before being accepted into the School of Dentistry at the University of Alberta in 2000. After successfully completing the dental program in 2004 he returned to Grande Prairie to start his career at one of the top family dentist offices in Grande Prairie, Higson Dental Group. ‘Dr. Clint’ has been a valued dentist in the community and at Higson Dental Group for over ten years.

Dental health is an important part of Dr. Schamehorn’s entire family. His wife Lesley, whom he met at dental school, was a registered dental assistant. They have two children who keep them busy with various activities and adventures. His passions include hunting, fishing, aviation and sailing.
